Professional dancers dazzled audiences with an elegant performance followed by a dance lesson that allowed everyone to join in the fun!

In partnership with Indy Arts Council
Attendees at the Indy Arts Council’s 2025 Start with Art event were greeted by an incredible live performance.
Two Indy tappers lit up the sidewalk outside the theatre, generating excitement for both event guests and passersby.

Heartland Film Festival Partnerships
2023
Seda Negra/Black Silk Dance Company opened a screening of Patria y Vida held at the Tobias Theater at Newfields. Voyages and Journeys, directed by Iris Rosa Santiago, is an exploration of the social, cultural, and political nuances of migration, which perfectly complemented the film’s inspiring story of six Cuban rappers challenging the regime through their lyrics about human rights.
2025
Three local burlesque dancers turned up the heat at Alamo Drafthouse ahead of the world premiere of Tight and Nerdy. This film follows the first (and only) burlesque troupe devoted to the music of “Weird Al” Yankovic.
